Moments of Wonderful - …rather than a lifetime of nothing special. A diabetes blog.

Born in a barn?

I was walking around my complex today to pick up the keys from the apartments where students have moved out. The students had to be out by 5 pm last Friday.

I walked into one apartment and there were a bunch of lights on. And they weren’t room lights or anything, it was desk lamps and such. It looked like someone was still there. “hello?” “hello?” No answer.

I walk into one of the back bedrooms and I could hear water running in the bathroom. At that point I was not sure what I was going to find so I called Security to come over and check the rest of the place with me.

The made it over about 30 minutes later (not an emergency I guess), and we walked back into the apartment. Still no answer. The water in the bathroom is still running. We yell a few more times but no one answers.

Slowly, we open the door to the bathroom. Guess what? There was no one there!

The hot water in the shower has been on for 5 DAYS. It was a tad steamy in there!

Another apartment had trash and food everywhere. They are going to be gone for 3 weeks!

Seriously, who leaves their house like that?!

Oh my gosh! What is wrong with people? That is so awful!

You were smart to get security there with you. If these people are this irresponsible, who knows what else you might have found. Scary, isn’t it?

I wouldn’t be even remotely surprised if my apartment mates did that.

Wow, I know we are all somewhat irresponsible when we were younger but there comes a point where stupidity comes into play.
