I love living in the United States.
I actually love politics. I think it is a great privilege that I have a say – no matter how small – in what happens in this country.
I love explaining my political views to people, and explaining how I arrived at those views. Just ask me – I will tell you!
What I don’t like are: the fighting – the negative campaign ads – the protests – the insults – and the neverending celebrity endorsements. Does anyone pick who they are going to vote for because that’s who Ben Affleck is voting for?
I think instead of telling us what is wrong with the other candidate, politicians should be focusing on what is right with their side.
I tried to vote today (Sunday), at my closest early voting location. Before I got in the car I looked online to check the wait time. SIX AND A HALF HOURS!!! It had to be a mistake, right? I had some other errands to run, so I drove by to double check. This picture taken from my camera phone in my car doesn’t really do it justice, but it looked really and truly to be that long of a wait. I’ll guess they’ll see me on Tuesday.
There were activists out front with Obama signs, and equal numbers holding McCain signs.
I think no matter how you vote, some people are going to think you are
some people are going to think you are
and I think some people are just mad you are taking their picture…
I say no matter which side you are on… make sure you exercise your right to vote!
As for me, I think you can guess who I am voting for
