CWD: Friends and Frogs

Greetings from Children with Diabetes 2009! The conference only started tonight and I have already seen a ton!

CWD hands out pedometers and you get a free T-shirt when you get to 5000 steps. The property is pretty spread out and I think my room is the furthest away from the convention center possible, so I already earned my shirt.

The exhibit hall opened at 6 pm but before that it was under lock-and-key. Very tight security.

Inside the exhibit hall is just about every diabetes company and they are all giving away diabetes swag. Tonight I got a MultiClix, a canvas bag, a battery operated fan, some pens, a glucose tab holder, and I even won a raffle at Kangaroo Pump Pockets. If it’s anything like last year, I expect to get much more tomorrow!

Next up was dinner with David, Elizabeth (yes, that David and Elizabeth), Mandy, Kerri (and her husband). Such a fun dinner! Unfortunately we were so busy eating, talking, and laughing (lots of laughing) that I forgot to take any pictures. All of those bloggers at the table and not one of us took a single picture! Don’t worry about that though, I will fix that error tomorrow! Walking back to the room, I heard a funny noise coming from the bushes. I think you might be able to hear it too –

  *please ignore the spelling error at the end – it’s been a long day! I’m a sound sleeper obviously not a sounds sleeper!
