Lessons from the ant

This weekend I spent some time volunteering at a local pumpkin patch. We were doing important things like turning pumpkins to prevent rot and counting how many pumpkins they had left to sell.

The traffic at the patch was a bit slow, so part of the group ended up sitting on a bench waiting for customers. I noticed some of the girls screaming a little and headed over to investigate. It was like the wild animal kingdom in the middle of a grocery store parking lot.

Because I grew up going to church and listening to corny Christian music, the only thing that I could think of as we watched was this song by the Donut Man.

(Make sure you start the clip at 3:25 for the “ant song”)

I totally remember that song! Too funny! I also remember the one about King Herod getting eaten by worms. I think that might have been the Donut Man, too.
