Making it cute

Last Friday, I tweet-dropped (eavesdropping on Twitter) on a conversation between Jewels and Sarah as they discussed a new way to carry the Dexcom CGM. I am all about the cute and the crafty (as long as I have SIMPLE directions to follow), so I headed to the mall this weekend to get my own Vera Bradley ID pouch to repurpose.

Jewel’s directions are very easy to follow and I was able to make my Dexcom a little cuter in about 10 minutes even with a questionable BG.

Treat then tweet. Carbs then craft.

Turn the pouch inside out.

Trim out the fabric that would hold the intended ID card. Keep an eye out to not cut the stitching.

Flip it back right side out and you are done.

So, what do you think?

what a great idea! so when you get tired of one, you can just make another! or if you’re like my daughter, you can make one to match all your outfits!

yep. yep yep. I was partially in on that conversation and I can’t wait to go buy one. Maybe I’ll do that today 🙂 My pink cover went to Dex Cover Heaven and the grey one is far too boring.

It looks like there might be a little space to treat it kind of like a mini wallet – true? Like, a couple cards and a $20?
