      On Medtronic it is called a Sure-T, for the luer-lock based pumps it is called a Contact Detach.

    You keep the protective plastic cover on to fill the tubing/cannula? I always take it off, then worry about where to put it to keep it clean.

    I also disconnect the “pigtail” from the main tubing to insert it into my body. It gives a little more flexibility. Then I reconnect.

    That’s my favorite type of set. Med-t calls it Sure-T. I just did this recently too.
