AADE 2013: A Prologue

I arrived back home late Saturday night from AADE 2013 (American Association of Diabetes Educators). I have attended several different conferences designed for people/patients with diabetes but this is the first time I have been an observer at one designed for professionals.

I haven’t quite had time to gather all my thoughts so I thought I’d share a few pictures first instead.

I am very thankful to the Diabetes Hands Foundation for providing the scholarship opportunity that allowed me to attend.

Side note: In the airport on the way to the conference I wrote about my positive experience with TSA Cares. Someone left a comment wondering about the return trip. Despite assurances that someone from the Philadelphia airport would receive my information and arrange assistance, the program did not contact me for my flight back home.

Side side note: I think I defeated the malware on my site. If you are still seeing it/having problems viewing my page, please let me know.
