Five dollars does not seem like a lot of money. However, when you think of a country where it is normal to have a home with no electricity, a bathroom you share with your neighbors, and a local clinic that relies mostly on donations, five dollars can save a life.
There is so much to be done in countries like Haiti. Through Spare a Rose, Save a Child and the money donated to the International Diabetes Federation, children are getting the diabetes supplies, medication, and education they need to stay alive.
Isn’t that better than grocery store flowers or tasteless chocolate purchased for an over-commercialized holiday?
