Wordless Wednesday: When the dust settles

glucose dust

(AKA “Bite the dust”)

My fingers don’t fit in the glucose tab bottle past the halfway mark to retrieve the necessary sugar and when I try to pour the tablets into my hand, I don’t really get exactly what I am looking for.

Ah, I tend to tip the jar just a little more than horizontal so the tabs slide to the curved part at the top, then I slip two fingers in and scoop out the tabs that way.

I end up with dust on the nightstand, and then end up brushing it off with my hand. Same result I guess… you just can’t win.

This happened to me 3 hours ago, followed by a frustrating round of “unseal the straw to jab it into the little juicebox hole”… lost both. Have no clue what the solution is on either, but whoever figures it out will have the diabetes world equivalent to the Tropical Drink Umbrella.

That’s why I love these glucose gels:

(they are easy to carry, don’t make a mess and don’t taste THAT bad… hehe I can’t stand the tablets.)
